helpppp
I'm throwing a bridal shower for Bev with her sister, and I have no idea what to do for decorations. Do I start with a theme and then think about the decoratiosn? I need help with a theme! Any ideas? Here's a little bit about the bride: Very girlie and feminine, teacher, enjoys camping and outdoorsy things, wedding theme is nautical, wedding colors are navy and white. Oh, and she doesn't read my blog, so I'm not worried about her seeing this. Ughhhhh. Help?
I would not spend time worring about a theme. Why do you need a theme? I wouldn't worry about her colors- nobody will remember. I would get potted plants that are in season for each table, maybe even several for each guest to take one home. You could decorate the pots to personalize them- wrap in foil or wrapping paper. Perhaps place them on a piece of lace or intertwine strands of beads. Then I would round up some artificial or real potted plants, fern, ficus trees, etc. to give the room more warmth. You will want to bring in a comfy chair or several for the bride and party to sit in when opening gifts. Maybe not as exciting as the male stripper that you had thought of, but I think these suggestions would work.
ReplyDeleteOh, Oh, here's another idea. How about one or two of those cupcake tiers on your serving table. The cupcakes could be decorated flowery, and dainty. That would add some nice color and could also be personalized.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite shower I've been to had all black and white stuff (of course, right?) For my shower a bunch of my friends asked Jed questions like who would want babies first and his favorite outfit that I wear and then asked me to see if it matched. Wait... I just realized you only asked about decorations :). I wouldn't stress too much - everything you do is amazing!! Where is the shower at? Is it warm enough to have it outside? Is this just a friend shower or general shower?
