Bev texted my this video this morning. It's of the front yard of where she was babysitting... RIGHT on the Rhode Island shore! It made me miss her because she thought of me this morning as she looked out at the shore :( I wish there was a shore like this out here! Oh home, how I miss you. AND I miss Bev!
I know it's undecided right now if I'm working at LaBeau's or not for the summer, but if I don't go I'll probably still keep up on my blog, just not as often. AHHhhh I don't know what to do.. do I stay at Ology and get a second job here in Orem? Or do I suck it up, go to LaBeau's, and make a crapload of money, but maybe not have a job in the fall when I return? Decisions, decisions.
Haha, isn't that the question every summer? To work at LaBeau's or not to work at LaBeau's? Although didn't you work at LaBeau's Too? I think that place is so much harder to work at than the drive in!
ReplyDeleteThat's cool that Skinny B*tch helped you to go vegetarian! There's so many good books out there now, it's overwhelming. I have yet to read that one, perhaps I should put it on my list!
What made me decide to go vegan was a podcast that I started listening to. I didn't have the intention of being vegan or vegetarian, I just downloaded it as something to listen to at work. It's called "Vegetarian Food for Thought" and it's on iTunes. (It's also on the podcast widget on my blog.)
I think I had been leaning towards vegetarianism after I graduated high school, because growing up I always thought that I ate too much meat and just loved how I felt when I ate fruits and veggies. The message that Colleen (the podcast author) has on her podcasts was something I agreed with completely, so I decided to make the change! Plus, I was horrified at just how nasty and terrible our food system can be. Then I realized that all animals were the same--I realized that they call had feelings and had capabilities, just as our pet animals.
I'm glad you left me a comment and that I found another veggie friend! :) We need to stick together, it can be hard sometimes!
